johndavison6969@hotmail.comHello, I'm John David Davison, also commonly known as Wally Caine. I've got other nicknames, but they're derivatives of that and my real name, so I'm sure you can figure them out fairly easily. Before you ask, the nickname comes from the Immortal Utterances of Jon Marquis, who, upon my joining of the quiz group, declared, "We can't have two Johns. You look like a Wally. Wally Caine." Thus, a name was born.
Anyways, on to stuff directly about me. I'm an extremly nerdy person, studying to become a physics professor at current. Note that I said nerdy, and not geeky. The distinction can be made by my complete lack of advanced computer skills. I'm a competent user, or so I'd like to think, but I couldn't tell you how to fix a problem or maximize your performance anymore than I can run a four minute mile (Disclaimer: I can't run a four minute mile.) I take my nerdity from my interest in Fantasy and Science Fiction, and various other nerdy activities, such as role-playing games and truly random trivia. Although I currently don't have any land based games going on, I have found a way to feed my addiction through the magic of the internet, and combine it with my interest in webcomics: The Mad Scientist Wars. In fact, my new userpic is a fan drawing of my character for that game, named, coincidentally enough, Wally Caine.
Other interests, hmmm... I listen to a lot of strange music for my age. (If you don't already know what that is, it's smack dab between nineteen and twenty.) Most of it is bad influence from parents and older sibling, and some of it is my own strangeness. I also read far too many webcomics (120 at last count,) and like to use parentheses when tired. I do plan on cutting back on the webcomics eventually, especially once I go back to school. Whether or not that'll actually happen is a matter of debate. Anyways, I'm getting into reading graphic novels again, and also trying to do more physical reading, as opposed to online reading. We shall have to see how that works out.
I work as a Telemarketer at Dialamerica in Rochester, NY. I'm currently living with my parents in a small town south of there, in a fairly comfortable arrangement, resulting in me on the couch with lots of blankets. I used to live much farther south west of here, before my dad sobered up and had to move.
As you can probably guess, I'm fairly open with information online, so feel free to talk to me if you ever need more details. I might say no, but it's not likely. Similarly, if you wish to friend me, just do so. I'll probably friend you back, but if you don't want me to, or for some other reason want to be removed from my friends list, please, just let me know. I can't exactly be expected to read your mind, so please, let me know.
P.S. - Comments are always welcome, no matter what the relevance. I like the attention, and even more importantly, I like to be reminded that I'm not just screaming words out into the void. Although that can be theraputic, I've got other methods for taking care of that niche. So, yeah, the ocasional reminder that a human being reads these words is very nice.
